Fall Workshop Feedback

 | Published on 1/1/2018

During the 2017 Fall Workshop, AAADAC received feedback on issues that were important and of concern to persons attending and that prevented persons from attending. Two themes appeared to surface.

The first was a desire to have traditional networking activities and opportunities as in past workshops. Persons attending shared they missed these opportunities and activities and it was suggested that hosting the workshop at a location where everyone could stay under one roof as much as possible would address this issue.

The second, which was cited as the most common barrier to the first theme which was the per night cost of lodging at the present location and the surrounding hotels. For many that must travel to the workshop, it has become cost prohibited. For a handful, it led to canceling at the last minute (this included scholarship recipients).

In an attempt to address these issues, AAADAC is reviewing all options to include relocating to a new venue. We love being at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jonesboro as it has the conference and banquet room space we need for our event and ease of access from major roadways in the North East Arkansas region. With that said, we also want to make an informed decision with the input of our association members and those who attend the Fall Workshop from all across Arkansas. Our options at this time are limited based on space requirements needed and lodging costs for our members. With this being said...

AAADAC wants and needs to hear from you as we begin to plan for the 2018 Fall Workshop. Please take a few moments to complete the brief survey at Survey Monkey by clicking on the link below. This survey will remain open until 11:59 pm (CST) December 4, 2017.
We will be sending out email notices through ASABC and other organizations. You can only take the survey once, but I encourage you to forward the link to other addiction professionals that would like to or have attended the Workshop. Your input into this process is very important and valued.

Thank You for Your Time and Input
