2024 AAADAC Fall Workshop
The 47th Annual AAADAC Fall Workshop is scheduled for
October 14 - October 18, 2024

at
DeGray Lake Resort
   Lake DeGray State Park, Bismarck, AR

The conference will be hosted at the DeGray Lake Resort Lodge, DeGray Lake Resort State Park in Bismarck, Arkansas.
All speakers are expected to be onsite for the presentation.

The Conference Program Committee will give preference to presentations demonstrating the use of current research and theory. View the application for full details including suggested topics. PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR

Presentations - Team or individual proposals accepted. Sessions will run in one of three different time formats: 90 minutes, 3 hours, and 6 hours, allowing for more in-depth presentations and Q&A.

Panels - Panel discussions will be considered. They may be organized and submitted as a group by a panel coordinator, or individuals may submit their viewpoints to become part of a panel.

- This conference seeks to educate its audience and not promote specific products. Exhibit space is available for all promotional activities. Presentation selections will be made based on desired topics, flow of content, educational value, and understanding of the content. All selected content will be published in conference publications and online.

- The conference organizers will set the day and time for each presentation in coordination with the presenters to optimize the sequencing and flow of content and tracks.

PROPOSAL REVIEW

Members of the Fall Workshop Planning Committee will review all completed proposals based on the criteria listed below. The committee and AAADAC Board will make final selections. Notification of acceptance will be sent by July 1, 2024.

Real-World Applicability: Proposals must feature a concrete program, service, or initiative that resonates with these leaders; it must be practical, replicable, and relevant!

Learning Objectives: Proposals need to specify 3 BIG IDEAS attendees must know when leaving your session to do their job better.

Relevance to Our Audience:  This conference brings together our community behavioral healthcare providers, substance use treatment providers, federally qualified health-centers, and hospital and crisis intervention providers, peer support professionals. Proposals must be relevant to this audience.

-Audience Engagement: Proposals should reflect the diversity of membership, including practitioners, academics, students, consultants, federal, state, and local governments, and public, private and nonprofits.



The Selection Process: We strive to offer a balanced program of educational sessions by selecting proposals that best fit within the framework of the conference.

We expect presenters to:
- Meet all deadlines
- Provide high-quality handouts and presentations by the deadline and in the format requested
and
- Honor our commitment to providing education by not showcasing or promoting the speaker’s practice, services, or products.

In return, we will:
Provide a discounted registration for the conference and honorarium for time/travel.
